Brush School District Board of Education
Seeking Dedicated Community Members to Serve
The Brush School District is calling for nominations for the Board of Education. Four open seats are available in the upcoming election scheduled for November 4, 2025
POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
Four (4) seats for four-year terms
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: To be eligible for nomination, candidates must:
Be a registered voter in the Brush School District boundaries
Be at least 18 years of age
Have resided in the district for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the election
Not have been convicted of certain felonies (as specified in state education code)
NOMINATION PROCESS: Interested candidates may obtain nomination petitions from:
Brush School District Office Lacey Smith, Designated Election Official
Address: 527 Industrial Park Road Brush, CO 80723
NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS:
Completed nomination petition with fifty (50) valid signatures from registered voters within the district
Signed oath of candidacy
All materials must be submitted by Friday, August 29, 2025 at 4:30 pm
BOARD RESPONSIBILITIES: School board members are responsible for:
Setting educational policies and goals for the district
Hiring and evaluating the superintendent
Adopting the annual budget
Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
Representing the community's educational interests
TIME COMMITMENT: Board members typically attend:
Monthly board meetings (approximately 2 hours)
Monthly work sessions (approximately 2 hours)
Special meetings as needed
Community events and school functions
Training sessions and conferences

🔬⚡ Camp Invention 2025 at Brush School District - What an incredible week! ⚡🔬
For over 15 years, Brush School District has been proud to host Camp Invention, and this year has been absolutely fantastic!
👥 By the numbers:
* 95 elementary campers
* 11 middle school junior counselors
* 11 high school leadership interns
* 5 expert instructors + 1 wonderful parent volunteer
* 1 director + 1 assistant director
Our young inventors have been having a blast exploring, creating, and discovering all week long! 🚀
HUGE thank you to all the parents who trusted us with your amazing kids this week. Watching them grow, learn, and have fun has been incredible!
