Get Involved
At Brush School District we know that our families play a key role in our students success. That is why we encourage parents and guardians to stay informed and involved in their child's education.
At Home
Opportunities for learning are everywhere. Encourage children to be curious and to follow their passions.
By providing time, space, supplies and support not only for school assignments but also for their own inquiries -- students become lifelong learners.
At School
Parents are encouraged and welcomed to engage with their child's school. Visiting during a student performances or just stopping in to have lunch with your student -- shows that you support them and their effort at school.
Additionally, each school has at least one group or committee that seeks parent involvement (PTO, BAC, etc). Those groups typically receive reports and provide feedback regarding school performance and budgeting.
Building Accountability Committee (BAC) and Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO)
Each School has a parent committee that receives reports and provides feedback regarding school performance and budgeting.

Volunteer
A school volunteer is an integral part of the educational process of the Brush School District. The Brush School District is more than pleased to have volunteers come forth from the community to aid in the development of students.
Each individual interested in volunteering with Brush Schools must complete the Volunteer Packet.
At the District-Level
We also encourage parents to participate at a district-level. Our District Accountability and Advisory Committee is one great way to become involved.
District Accountability and Advisory Committee (DAAC)
Our DAAC is a committee composed of parents, community members, and staff. The Board of Education also selects one or two of its members to attend meetings in an ex-officio capacity to serve as a liaison between the Committee and the Board. The committee meets at least quarterly to provide input and to review data. Primary focus for the committee are student achievement and learning data. Additionally, the committee may be asked for input on items such as curriculum, policy development, prioritization of goals, and other topics important to student safety and success. Typically, members serve a term of 3 years.
