Dear Thomson Primary Families,
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve our school, parents will be asked to complete a brief anonymous survey. The survey is designed to gather honest feedback, and no parent names or identifying information will be collected.
To encourage participation, all students who turn in the survey will receive a small prize, regardless of their parents' responses. The prize is simply a thank-you for taking the time to participate and share your thoughts.
Return surveys in by January 22, 2026 to your child's teacher!
Please note that individual responses cannot be connected to any student, and results will only be reviewed in summary form.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
Sincerely,
Thomson Primary
Hello,
We would like to hear from parents about your child's experience with the Colorado READ Act and its observed impact.
As you may know, the Colorado READ (Reading to Ensure Academic Development) Act provides funding and a framework for improving literacy outcomes for kindergartners through third graders, particularly those with “Significant Reading Deficiencies” (SRDs) who are at risk to not read at grade level by third grade. The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) has been working with WestEd and its partners to conduct a legislatively mandated evaluation of the READ Act since March 2020.
The survey should take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete, and all responses will be kept confidential.
*******We are only asking you to complete the survey if your child has ever been identified as having a significant reading deficiency (SRD) and/or has ever been given a READ plan.*******
Thank you in advance for your participation in this parent survey. We greatly appreciate your time and willingness to share your experience.

To celebrate Homecoming, TPS students will enjoy a donut in class tomorrow morning! Make sure your student is on time, so that they don't miss out on this sweet treat!

I am writing to provide you with important information regarding tomorrow's (9/30) return to classes following last night's incident.
First and most importantly, our school buildings and grounds are completely safe. I want to thank the Brush Police Department and Brush Volunteer Fire Department for their swift and professional response last night, which allowed us to quickly ensure the safety and security of our facilities.
Classes will resume tomorrow as scheduled. If you or your student have specific questions we do ask that you direct them to Brush PD or the BSD District Office. We understand some students may have questions or concerns, and our staff is available for support.
Our focus this week is on providing a positive, normal experience for our students while ensuring everyone feels safe and supported. We believe our homecoming celebrations will be a wonderful way to bring our school community together. We are looking forward to a week filled with rich Beetdigger traditions and school and community spirit.
We will move forward with our scheduled homecoming activities, with dress-up days and events proceeding as planned for the remainder of the week.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our school community.
Respectfully,
Tracey Singley
