A big thank you to Buildings By Design for visiting our Trade Development class last week! 🏗️
They walked our students through the role of a general contractor and how they coordinate with the many trades that bring a project to life, including electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, concrete crews, and carpenters. They also covered jobsite safety, budgeting, risk analysis, and the work of their human resources department.
Our students were fully engaged, asking great questions throughout the class period. Best of all, they got to see firsthand how their chosen career paths fit into the construction industry, right here with a local company in Brush, Colorado.
We appreciate our community partners who invest in the next generation of skilled tradespeople!

Our Beetdigger family is heartbroken by the loss of a dear friend, Marci Sanders. Over her career, Marci taught children from preschool through junior high before serving as an elementary school counselor here in Brush until her retirement.
Marci made a lasting impact on our students, our staff, and our whole community. Her legacy lives on in every student who knew someone believed in them, and in every family who knew their children were truly cared for.
We hold her loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
