Summer of Inconvenience

Summer of Inconvenience
Posted on 06/05/2019
Dr. WilsonOur current building project at the High School will soon result in a new Secondary Campus and house both our MS and HS students and staff.  As you may recall, we will be keeping and renovating the current competition gymnasium and most of the 2005 addition (Aux gym, wrestling room, weight room, bathrooms, 2 classrooms).  The renovation work for that area has already begun and progress continues to be evident both inside and outside of the building.  The downside of this progress is that the campus is, for nearly all intents and purposes, unavailable for public use this summer.  Diagrams accompany this message and provide a visual of the areas involved.

The weight room is currently closed.  It will reopen for our student-athletes on June 10 (limited hours available, please check with your coach).  The approved path to access the weight room is denoted by arrows on the accompanying diagram.

The parking lots have been milled and will be resurfaced later this summer. Please respect all closures, signs, cones.  Please do not enter any areas until official notification from Dr. Wilson has been posted.

Please do not attempt to enter any part of the current HS building without prior approval from both Dr. Wilson and the site Construction Superintendent.  There is asbestos abatement, overhead renovations, and other potentially hazardous work taking place and we value your safety.

Current plans are to have renovations completed and access granted no later than August 9 for all areas - and a secured area (current adminstration offices) ready prior to early registration the week of August 5.

Updates will be posted to the district website as progress continues.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.  I am confident that our short term inconveniences will be well worth our long term enjoyment and benefit.
