May Update

Less than a month from now, school will be "out" and another school year will be completed.  However, there is still much to be accomplished and May typically races by rapidly! This time of year is always a combination of joy, sadness, stress, and relief.  I hope you are able to find joy and satisfaction as you complete the tasks required or expected of you!  Our staff will undoubtedly be thankful for the growth demonstrated by our students and the satisfaction of the part they are afforded in developing our young people and providing educational opportunities to help them become all that they can desire to be!

We are slated to make a 2-minute presentation to the BEST Board on Thursday, May 18 around 10 a.m..  We are excited for the opportunity and remain optimistic regarding our chances at obtaining an award.  We continue to work with our Owner's Representative, the architects, and our BEST program Regional Consultant to ensure that we are properly prepared and have met any and all expectations and requirement of the BEST program and application process.  Awards are slated to be announced on the afternoon of the 18th so at least our "wait time" after our presentation should not be lengthy.

Details and the schedule for the May 17-18th BEST Grant Review Meeting are now available:

The Summary of Applications Received  is now posted as well:

The Board of Education has approved a temporary budget for the purpose of extending contracts and providing continuity within the district.  The FINAL budget will likely be approved in June.  The budget could easily be significantly impacted by an Legislative action yet to occur this session and receipt of a BEST Grant would obviously contain another set of factors to include.  We expect to approve a budget for publication soon after both of those variables become known factors and will post the budget hearing date/time/location shortly thereafter.
