Dear Stakeholders,

I hope this message finds you safely enjoying the summer and finding time for recreation as well as family and work time.  It continues to be a busy summer for the district as we attempt to complete maintenance tasks, hire staff, and ensure that all is ready for the return of students in a few short weeks.  Another activity that has required our attention is our current fiscal and facility situation.  Without elaborating on the details of exactly WHY?, HOW?, and How Much?, suffice it to say our district continues to find itself in a challenging position.  Thus, we have been investigating and exploring our options and are moving swiftly toward what will likely be a couple of ballot questions for the General Election on November 08, 2016.  The Board of Education is considering both a question regarding a Mill Levy Override (MLO) for general expenses, and a Bond Issue for facilities improvements.  We will continue to post relevant documents HERE on our website and attempt to provide any and all stakeholders with the information they desire regarding this critical issue.  We have also established an email address mlobond@brushschools.org  to facilitate correspondence with those needing more information or wanting to provide input.  We have held 3 meetings thus far in attempts to elicit input and feedback and will host more meetings in the weeks to come. Please be looking for future opportunities to join us and provide us with your perspectives. Please also remember that I am eager to meet with you or discuss matter over the phone if that is your preference.

Thank you in advance for your participation and consideration. Dr. Bill Wilson Superintendent 970-842-5176
