School Exclusions for Immunization Non-Compliance

Effective Wednesday January 11,2017 students who do not have complete immunization records will be excluded from school. This is State law, and must be enforced by school districts in Colorado. Parents have been receiving notices of immunization noncompliance since October 2016, in letters sent home with students, sent by mail, and phone calls to their homes.   READ MORE...

Bond and MLO Update

Merry Christmas! Work continues toward securing a BEST Grant as well as toward addressing program, transportation, maintenance, and salary needs. After the election results were canvassed and declared official on just before Thanksgiving, we began meeting with staff to acquire input regarding improvements to our salary schedules. Testing Data Release: 2016 PARCC Test Results with 2015 Comparison Brush School District RE-2J

Results from the 2016 administration of the Partnership for the Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) Tests are described in the tables below. In 2016, fourteen tests were administered (in Brush School District), to determine student achievement in English Language Arts (grades 3 – 9) and Mathematics for grades 3-8 and High School (Algebra I). These tests represent student performance relative to Colorado’s Academic Standards that were fully implemented during the 2013-14 school year.  READ MORE...

Board Certifies Language for MLO and Bond Initiatives

The Brush School Board, at the August 31, 2016 meeting, approved final language for both a Mill Levy Override and a Bond Issue. The MLO would be for $2.0 million/year with a 5-year sunset. The Board included the sunset to provide voters with an increased level of accountability for the Board and administration and to ensure transparency in how the funds will be used.  READ MORE...
